St Clare's Comprehensive School, Manorhamilton's boys gaelic footballers are through to the Masita All-Ireland colleges senior 'C' football final following Saturday night's impressive 4-18 to 1-9 semi-final victory over Gaelcholáiste Reachrann from Donaghmede, Dublin.

The match, played on the 3G pitch at Kingspan Breffni in Cavan town, was dominated from an early stage by the Leitrim school.

Shane Ward from Ballyshannon is one of the joint team managers of St Clare's, who had an easy passage to the final, and were well on their way at half-time lead leading by 2-12 to 0-3

They will meet Ennistymon CBS from Clare in the All-Ireland final after the Clare side defeated St Pat, Keady (Armagh) by 1-13 to 2-6 in a much closer second semi-final.

The St Clare's joint manager, Ward, is well known in GAA coaching circles as manager of Fermanagh side Derrygonnelly Harps and he also played and coached his native club, Aodh Ruadh, Ballyshannon as well as the Donegal minor team and Leitrim senior team.
