Letterkenny Gaels were two-point winners against Gaeil Fhánada

Letterkenny Gaels picked up two much needed points at Pairc na nGael on Sunday afternoon as they continued their good form against Gaeil Fhánada.

Fanad Gaels 0-8

The home side started very much on the front foot as Ronan Frain had four points in the opening ten minutes. Paddy Doherty added another score midway through the first period.

Gaeil Fhánada got the call to keep possession in order to curtail the Gaels attack and only got their opening score with a free from Bernard McGettigan on twenty nine minutes. The Glebe men added two more points through Sean McDonagh and Kevin Langan before Patrick Carr added a late point for the visitors to leave the score 0-7 to 0-2 at Half time.

Michael Sweeney opened the scoring for Fanad on thirty-seven minutes but this score was cancelled out by Darren Hunter. Liam McGrenaghan, Bernard McGettigan and sub Mark McAteer(3) added scores for the visitors but Man of the match Ronan Frain made sure of a home victory with two late scores.
