Cloughaneely wrap up season with win  at Killybegs

Killybegs knew that no matter what the result against Cloughaneely they face into the relegation play-off in a bid to preserve their Division 1 status

Cloughaneely finished up their All-County Football League Division 1 campaign with a five-point win over Killybegs

Ciaran Scanlon scored the goal and Blake McGarvey kicked four points while Scanlon, Shaun Maguire, Darren McGeever and Martin Maguire also got on the scoresheet for the winners. 

Ryan Cunningam top scored for the locals with a goal and three points while Conor Cunningham posted three points for the locals who lined out with Hugh McFadden and Eoghan Bán Gallagher. 

The game brought down the curtain on Cloughaneely’s league campaign. And manager Michael Lynch will be happy with a mid-table position finish. 

It was also Killybegs’ final game in the league programme but they will now face either Ardara or Glenswilly in the relegation play-off.  

Killybegs scorers: Ryan Cunningham 1-3; Conor Cunningham 0-3, Christopher Murrin and Shaun Gorrell 0-1 each.
Cloughaneely scorers:  Ciaran Scanlon 1-2; Blake McGarvey 0-4, Shaun Maguire,Shaun Maguire and Darren McGeever 0-2 each; Martin Maguire 0-1.
