A fantastic day of football to finish off the Donegal LGFA U-13 Player Development Pathway.
Over 150 girls took to the fields in the Donegal Training Centre in Convoy on Saturday, where eight teams played games each so every girl got over an hour's playing time.
It was great to see how much progression these girls have made since they began back at Easter. Hopefully now they will keep working on their complex skills at home and at their clubs, catch, kick, solo and handpass, use both sides of the body, right and left foot and hand.
“We are not going to start thanking individuals for the fear of leaving someone out but we would like to thank all the coaches, mentors and physios, who all did a fantastic job. Thanks to our referees and a special mention to our two young whistlers, who did a fantastic job well done,” read a Donegal LGFA statement.
“Thanks to the parents for getting the girls to all the sessions, The girls are a real credit to you and your clubs, They are so well mannered and well behaved they were an absolute joy to coach. Thanks to The Donegal County Board for the use of the Donegal Training Centre it is a fantastic facility somewhere we should all be very proud of.”
