Termon turn on the style with comfortable win over MacCumhaills

Termon were much too strong for hosts MacCumhaills in this lopsided Under 21 clash in Ballybofey.

MacCumhaills 0-3
Termon 3-16

The Twin Town lads had initially taken an early lead through Conor McCormack. But when Termon found their feet, their first dent on the scoreboard was a three-pointer from Ryan McFadden goal.

Bobby McGettigan would then land three overs while a free from McFadden left it 1-4 to 0-1 on ten minutes.

Oisin Harkin pointed for Termon followed by a well taken Joel Bradley Walsh free, off the ground, and at range. And subsequent points from McFadden, Jack Alcorn and Steve McDaid meant that it was Termon that exited at the midpoint 1-8 to 0-2 in front.

Gary McGettigan pointed right away for Termon following the restart before Bradley Walsh registered MacCumhaills’ first and only score of the new period, on 41 minutes, from a free.

Further points from Cian McMenamin and McDaid were followed up by another Termon green flag as Gary McGettigan found the net.

MacCumhaills then got caught high up pitch, were turned over resulting in McGettigan grabbing his side’s third goal. Closing points from the likes of McGettigan, McFadden and Conor Cassidy helped the visitors comfortably see out the remainder.
