Garda probe as derelict Mountcharles house burgled

Gardai are investigating a burglary at a derelict house in Mountcharles on Sunday.

At around 4.30am, the rear door of was forced open and entry was gained. It has not yet been fully established what was stolen from the property.

Gardai say that couple of people were observed not far from that location around that time carrying a box and a bag to a vehicle.

A spokesperson said: “We appeal to anybody who may have observed these people or a vehicle parked in that area in the early hours of Sunday morning to make contact with Gardaí in Ballyshannon on 071-9858530.

“If anybody travelled in the area between 4am and 5am with a dash cam, we ask them to make the footage available to Gardaí. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111.”
