While Frank Feighan (FG) edged a little closer to the quota picking up 473 of Marie Casserly's transfers to bring him to 10,216, Fianna Fáil's Paddy O'Rourke has been eliminated. His 4,406 votes will now be transferred.

As expected, Marian Harkin picked up the lion's share of Marie Casserly's transfers, gaining 1,103 to bring her Count 9 total to 6,791. This places her in fourth place ahead of Chris MacManus on 6,647.

At present it looks like Frank Feighan and Martin Kenny will retain their seats, with Eamon Scanlon, despite having dropped to sixth position in the last count, expected to take a seat. Michael Clarke has held strong thus far, sitting in third on 7,297. Also still in contention are Marian Harkin and Chris MacManus.

However, the higher number of transfers in the remaining counts will play a huge role in determining the final seat allocation. With Paddy O'Rourke eliminated in this round and Dr Edel McSharry looking set to be next to go, these transfers will be pivotal.
