Noel Jordan was Sinn Féin’s third candidate in the Donegal constituency
Sinn Féin candidate Noel Jordan has been eliminated on the 13th count as counting continues in the Donegal constituency.
The south Donegal county councillor took 3,321 first preferences to come in eighth position.

He was his party’s third candidate in a constituency race that so far has seen only his party colleagues Pearse Doherty and Pádraig MacLochlainn elected to the 34th Dáil.
The count is continuing with the redistribution of Jordan’s 5,513 votes. Fianna Fail's Pat 'The Cope' Gallagher is closing in on the quota of 12,771 with 11,751.
