A Glenties shop has offered a safe haven for children on their return to school.

As schools reopen, Paper Stop is stepping up to support families in the community by offering that its doors will remain open to pupils who may miss their bus, run out of phone battery, or simply need somewhere secure to wait until they are collected.

Parents are also being encouraged to point out the store to their children so they know where to go if they ever find themselves in difficulty.

“We want every child, and every parent, to have peace of mind that there’s a safe place nearby,” Paper Stop posted. “Together we can look out for one another.”
