“Long-awaited” trailhead signs have been ordered and will be in place shortly at the Burtonport Railway Walk.
The signs will be in English and Irish and will be located at the Harbour Café, St Columba’s Community Centre and the end of the walk at Meenbanad. There will be new trail cards with the full details on the main walk and the two loops.
“We would ask people, if they would continue to take out membership of the walk for 2025, if they haven’t done so already and also to those who wish to join at the very reasonable rate of €12 per year,” Burtonport Railway Walk said. “This can be done in the normal way by contacting David Alcorn or Rosaleen Sweeney or doing it online via iDonate.ie Many thanks to all for their continued support of our much-used walk, and we are very happy with the way work has progressed over the last few months.”
