The men had gotten into difficulty at Lough na Tooey, Creeslough

Three men were rescued from Lough na Tooey lake in Creeslough this afternoon.

The men had gotten into difficulty and were assisted by another boat on the lake and taken ashore safely.

The Mulroy Coast Guard were deployed to the scene after a call was made to the Malin Head Coast Guard at around 3:15pm. Gardaí and an ambulance crew were also at the scene.

The three males were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
