The issue of the bridge was brought up at the most recent council meeting in the Glenties MD area
A west Donegal county councillor is hopeful that long-awaited safety improvements at a Falcarragh bridge may finally be on the agenda.
Michéal Cholm Mac Giolla Easpuig hopes it is a step in the right direction regarding the implementation of a footpath at Droichead an Bhabhán in Falcarragh, which he describes as "dangerous" for pedestrians to walk on. The issue was brought up at the most recent council meeting in the Glenties MD area.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland –TII were contacted about the bridge and said that if the county council submits a safety report, the TII will investigate it further.
“This is an issue I have been fighting for years to get sorted”, Mr Mac Giolla Easpuig says. “Hopefully, we will get the footpath for Droichead an Bhabhán sooner rather than later.”
