Gaeltacht Mary selected for 59th Mary from Dungloe International Arts Festival

The Kincasslagh native will be sponsored by BSG An Clochán Liath and Pleanáil Teanga na Rosann at this year's festival.

Jamie-Mai Nic Giolla Easbuic has been selected as the Gaeltacht Mary for the 59th Mary from Dungloe International Arts Festival. 

The Kincasslagh native will be sponsored by BSG An Clochán Liath and Pleanáil Teanga na Rosann at this year's festival. 

The 2026 Gaeltacht selection took place at the Waterfront Hotel, Dungloe. The next selection is for the 2026 Midlands Mary at the Cavan Crystal Hotel on Friday, March 27, at 7pm.

Including the recent selection, seven representatives have been chosen for the 2026 festival so far. Shauna McDonagh is the Dungloe Mary, Gracie Trimble for the Wild Atlantic Way and Rhiana Wasson representing the county as Donegal Mary. Eva O’Sullivan is representing London, Maria Neely will wear the sash for Glasgow, while the 2026 Connacht Mary is Katie McClafferty.

Last year, fifteen ladies were selected and Dungloe Mary Ellie Ward was crowned Mary from Dungloe at the annual Crowning Cabaret. This year’s festival is scheduled to take place from Saturday, July 25, to Monday, August 3.
