Letterkenny Golf Club celebrates 2025 with competition winners' prize-giving event

Matchplay & Season Honours: The prestigious Golfer of the Year 2025, sponsored by Smart Accounting – Paul Carr, has been awarded to Fergal Finn. Fergal’s consistency throughout the year made him a deserving recipient of the club’s top individual honour.

In the Singles Matchplay (Sponsor: Murphy Maintenance) Ryan Ludick put on a dominant display in the final, securing a 4 & 3 victory over runner-up Enda Mannion.

The Doubles Matchplay (Sponsor: Letterkenny Driving Range & Shop) provided the season's biggest drama. After 18 holes couldn’t separate the finalists, Ciaran Haran & Barry Kavanagh clinched the title on the 20th hole in a nail-biting finish against Shaun Duffy & Mark P. McNulty.

Xmas Hamper Weekend Results: The 2025 season concluded with the annual Xmas Hamper competitions, which saw a high turnout and competitive scoring.

Saturday (Day 1):  Adrian Daly (10) led the field of 55 players with a superb 42 points to take the Overall Winner spot. He was closely followed by Kevin Kiely (8) with 41 points. Notable performances included:

Gross Prize: Liam Timiss (7) with 33 gross points; 3rd Place: Stephen McLaughlin (17) with 41 points; Category Winners: Liam Timiss (Cat 1, 40 pts) and Jonathan Doherty (Cat 2, 40 pts).

Sunday (Day 2): Conditions remained competitive for the 19 players in the field. Eugene McKeever (19) took the top spot for Day 2 with 39 points, narrowly edging out Fergal Finn (19), who capped off his successful year with a second-place finish.
