Council to be represented at St Patrick’s Day celebrations in the USA

Donegal to be represented at St Patrick's Day events in the USA

Authorisation has been granted for representatives from Donegal County Council to attend St Patrick's Day events next month.

The decision received unanimous approval at Monday's meeting fo the council in Lifford.

The usual practice is for the sitting cathaoirleach, in this case, Cllr Liam Blaney, to travel accompanied by a number of officials.

The trip involves a series of meetings with diaspora organisations and potential business groups to explore economic links.
