Weather forecast - A crisp start to the day with colder weather on the way

The cold snap will continue with north west winds in the early part of Friday veering northerly by lunchtime.

Temperatures are expected to range from 8°C to 10°C. It will be largely overcast but there will be some sunny spells in the afternoon.

Overnight temperatures will be around 6°C to 8°C.

Winds will drop somewhat to a light breeze by Saturday, however they will veer easterly bringing further drops in temperatures. 

Daytime temperatures are not expected to rise above 5°C to 7°C in Donegal, and could drop as low as -1°C on Saturday night and into the early hours of Sunday.
