YOUTHopia event to be held at Oakfield Park in Raphoe
A major gathering of young people to showcase the opportunities in the North-West and Europe is to take place next month.
The recent Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District meeting was told that the YOUTHopia- Generating Perspectives for Cohesion event has been confirmed for Thursday, April 27 at Oakfield Park, Raphoe.
This event has youth as its main focus and will showcase the opportunities in the North-West and Europe for young people including skills and education, employment and entrepreneurship.
This project will also include a four-day training workshop in June 2023 where young people can participate in a training programme in media and communication skills.
Mary McBride from the council's economic development, information systems and emergency services section told councillors that this event was a collaboration between the ATU and the ETB.
