Festival funding and how to get it
The granting of funds for festivals was queried at the recent meeting of the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District.
The issue was raised by cathaoirleach Cllr Patrick McGowan. He was reacting to the council's economic development, information systems and emergency services section report on tourism.
It revealed the Tourism Unit is inviting applications for funding under the Regional Festivals and Participative Events programme.
Cllr McGowan said he wanted to know what money had been allocated and how interested bodies could apply for a share.
