A 20-year-old man has appeared before Ballyshannon District Court on eight drugs-related charges involving cocaine, LSD, MDMA, Ketamine and Bromodimethoxyphenethylamine (2C-B)
Niall O’Mianain, of 60 Great James Street, Derry was before Judge Adrian Harris on Friday.
The court heard that six new charges had been added to two existing charges on Friday morning. The defendant made no reply when charged by gardaí ahead of the court sitting.
O’Mianain is charged with possession of Lysergide, Ketamine, Cocaine, and MDMA at Carrickboy, Ballyshannon on June 5, 2023. He is further charged with possession for sale or supply of Bromodimethoxyphenethylamine (2C-B), LSD, Ketamine and cocaine on the same date.
Solicitor Gerry McGovern applied for legal aid in respect of a solicitor in his practice, Mr John Anderson.
Judge Adrian Harris granted the application.
O’Mianain was remanded on bail to December 1 for direction for the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
