A Ballyshannon man has appeared in court where he pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to a woman.
Jason McDonagh, of Lawn Park, appeared at a sitting of Donegal Circuit Court. The 33-year-old is charged with assaulting Shauna Green on May 24, 2023, at Westport, Ballyshannon.
His barrister, Mr Colm Smith, SC, said his client was currently in Castlerea Prison where he has undertaken education and anger management courses. Judge John Aylmer asked for a Governor's Report to be compiled and adjourned the case to the next sitting of the court in March, 2024 for final sentence.
