The late Bernadette Cranley (née Barron)
The late Bernadette Cranley (née Barron) was described as a “woman of tremendous faith” as her Funeral took place at St Patrick’s Church, Lifford.
Bernadette Cranley passed away aged 82, in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday, May 24. The incident took place on the Mellon Road between Omagh and Newtownstewart in Co Tyrone.
Her son, Simon, said his family were blown away by the support given in the local community and that Bernadette would be “deeply missed and forever loved.”
He commented: “These past few days in Lifford, I have been blown away by the love and respect this community showed our mum. The hugs, the stories, the laughter and of course the tears, it is clear she left her mark on all of you.
“She carried the Cranley and Barron names with grace, dignity and endless kindness. She was a credit to her upbringing and to her siblings and those who have already passed before.”

Simon remembered how Bernadette was proud to be a grandmother. He recalled: “Her nine little angels were never far from her thoughts. Birthdays and Christmases were never forgotten. Presents were always eagerly awaited and carefully chosen. She was a much-loved Nana Bernie.”
He spoke of a short story written by his mother, entitled The Joys of Being a Nanny, where she spoke of the “pride and joy of being their nan and how lucky she was to have them.”
Bernadette Cranley was the much-loved mother of Rebecca, Simon, Nicola, and Sean. Mother-in-law of Kathryn, Luke, and Clare. Dearly loved grandmother of Darcey, Louis, Lola, Patrick, Lexie, Sienna, Kiera, Elledie, and Zara, and sister of Bridget, Louie, Paddy, Benny, Kay, Tony, and the late Tommy, Clare, Fran, and Maura.
She is deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and family circle.
