Rossnowlagh beach will have public gym facilities
A new mini-outdoor gym will be built in Rossnowlagh after €50,000 in funding was granted for public fitness equipment.
The Friends of Rossnowlagh group said it was “great news for Rossnowlagh” and that they were “delighted to share that the funding application submitted by Friends of Rossnowlagh” had been successful.
Free-to-use fitness equipment will be installed near the public car park at Rossnowlagh and will be available to both locals and visitors.

The funding was part of the Community Recognition Fund, which aims to support the development of community infrastructure and facilities for the entire community in recognition of the contribution being made by communities across the country in welcoming and hosting significant numbers of arrivals from Ukraine and other countries.
An online statement from Friends of Rossnowlagh said the news was “a really positive step for health, wellbeing and active living in the community.
“Huge thanks to everyone who helped bring this together, especially those working quietly behind the scenes to make it happen.”
