Outside Killybegs new tourist office - Cllr Niamh Kennedy
An Cathaoirleach, Cllr Niamh Kennedy said the new tourist office in Killybegs, will be of a “huge benefit” to the local area.
The tourist office will be officially opened in an opening ceremony on Friday, June 27, at 11am.
Work with the new tourist office is part of the Killybegs Town Centre Regeneration Project. The harbour town will now have a new facility which will incorporate the tourist office, as well as a digital hub, meeting rooms, and public toilets.

Independent councillor, Niamh Kennedy, told Donegal Live: “We have been working on it for a long time. It is very welcome. We have been in a pre-fab building for years, and we are moving into our offices on Friday, June 27.
“It will be of a huge benefit. Everybody needs proper infrastructure and facilities, and public conveniences. We have been busy with cruise ships since 2003.
“We have outgrown the two offices we have been in previously, so we are now moving into a purposefully built office.
“200,000 people travel to Sliabh Liag annually, and we are between Donegal Town and Sliabh Liag, so we expect this to be much busier now that we have this proper facility.”
