Gardaí appealing for information on property fire near Dunfanaghy

Gardaí have stated that a fire at a property, which is under construction, near Dunfanaghy on June 18 may have been started maliciously. 

The fire at the property in Kill, which is currently vacant, was in progress and had to be extinguished by Gardaí shortly before 10pm.

Fire services also attended the scene and ensured that the property was safe.

A statement from Gardaí read: “It has not been ruled out that the fire may have been started maliciously and we are anxious to speak with anyone who may have travelled in that area (along the N56 in particular) with a dash-cam between 9pm and 10pm on that date (June 18).

“If anybody can assist with relevant information, we ask them to contact Ballyshannon Garda Station on 071 9858530.
