A national school in Keadue is to offer a €2,000 bursary in an attempt to increase enrollment at the school.

Scoil an Aingil Choimheádaí announced that the bursary will be offered to three junior infants enrolling at the school for September 2025, and from outside the school’s catchment area.

An online statement by the school read: “The board of management recognises that travel costs may be a consideration for families living further afield, and this bursary is intended to help alleviate that burden.

“Pupils enrolling in classes other than junior infants may also be considered for a partial bursary, subject to availability and individual circumstances.

“The school offers a morning club from 8.20am, and an after-school service, operated by Comhar Naíonrai, running until 6pm daily - supporting working families and enhancing the school experience for pupils.

“At Scoil an Aingil Choimheádaí, your child will thrive through Irish-medium education, gaining bilingual fluency, stronger thinking skills, and academic confidence.

“We foster pride in Irish culture, nurture communication and creativity, and support every child in a warm, welcoming school community.”
