Milford AC's athlete Paddy Ryan in cross-country action
Milford Athletics Club has sought planning permission to relocate a new athletic running track and field events area, as well as the relocation of a cross-country running course.
The club has submitted documents to Donegal County Council.
James Gibbons and Martin Lynch of Milford AC Committee were the named applicants for the application.
A relocation for the cross-country running course is planned to be on the current site, and the new athletics running tracks and field events area would be within the running track on site.
The development also includes a provision of fencing to the perimeter of the running track, floodlighting to both running courses, and the construction of car parking.

A new entrance to the site area and all other associated works were part of the planning application submitted by Milford AC.
The club had received planning permission for an ambitious project in 2023, which was for the erection of a new athletic running track and cross country running course.
Formed in 1987 by seven-time long jump national champion, Hugo Duggan, the club has been an important part of the Milford local community in the four decades since.
