Carndonagh-based Spraoi agus Spórt was named as the Ulster nominee in the National Finals in the Good Causes Awards 2025.

Spraoi agus Spórt, a social enterprise that enhances health and wellbeing through inclusive, affordable activities for children, families, and people with disabilities, was named as Ulster’s candidate for the Health & Wellbeing Award.

National winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Killashee House Hotel in Naas, Kildare, on Saturday, October 18.

As one of the 35 national finalists, Spraoi agus Spórt will receive a cheque for €1,500, with the possibility to win €10,000 should they win the national category.

The Good Causes Awards, now in its seventh year, aims to honour, showcase, and celebrate the inspiring work being carried out nationwide by thousands of projects, clubs, and individuals who have received support from Good Causes funding.

Other Ulster finalists include the Irish Wildlife Trust Monaghan in the Heritage category, The Cavan Centre in the Youth category, and Tanagh Outdoor Education and Training Centre, Monaghan, in the Sport category.

National Lottery CEO, Cian Murphy, said: “It’s a privilege to unveil and celebrate this year’s National Finalists in the Good Causes Awards.

“This year’s inspiring group of projects, organisations and individuals are transforming communities all over Ireland through their remarkable work.

“These finalists are a testament to the incredible difference that Good Causes funding makes every day, helping to build a brighter, more inclusive future for everyone.”
