Algerian and Georgian Ambassadors received a Guard of Honour from 28th Infantry Battalion
The 28th Infantry Battalion of Finner Camp, located between Ballyshannon and Bundoran, provided a Guard of Honour at Áras an Uachtaráin for the presentation of the new Ambassadors of Georgia and Algeria.
A Guard of Honour was provided under the command of Lieutenant Andrew O’Connor.
Lieutenant Cian O’Connell, also from the 28th Infantry Battalion, was the flag officer during the event.
The event was for the new ambassadors from Georgia and Algeria to Ireland to present their Letters of Credence to President Michael D. Higgins at Áras an Uachtaráin.

Her Excellency, Sophie Katsarava, Ambassador of Georgia, was accompanied by Mr Merab Manjgaladze, Senior Counsellor at the Embassy of Georgia.
For Algeria, Her Excellency, Asma Khelef, Ambassador of Algeria, was accompanied by Mr Djameledine Djaaleb, First Secretary at the Embassy of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
