Bundoran to Ballyshannon Active Travel Project will have work started next month

Works on the new Bundoran to Ballyshannon Active Travel Project are scheduled to commence on site next month, in September

Gerald Love Contracts Ltd is the appointed contractor for the project, which has a completion date of an expected 12 months. 

The project is for a continuous 5km walking and cycling link between Bundoran and Ballyshannon along the R267 Finner Road.

A traffic management system will be in place during the construction, with updates available via Donegal County Council’s MapAlerter service and website.

Donegal County Council released a statement describing the project, which read: “The scheme is designed to make walking, cycling, and other forms of active travel safer, more convenient, and more appealing for people of all ages and abilities.”
