Cllr Jimmy Brogan said he could not send anybody to Donegal Town's toilets
The state of public toilets in Donegal Town and Rossnowlagh were heavily criticised, with a councillor stating that he “could not send anybody” to the public toilets.
Speaking at September’s Donegal Municipal District Meeting, Cllr Jimmy Brogan questioned the executive on public toilets in Donegal Town and Rossnowlagh.
He said: “If somebody asked people where the toilets were in Donegal Town, I would say the Abbey Hotel, because I could not send anybody to those toilets.

“We were granted money for the refurbishment, but it has been trundling along all summer, and there doesn’t seem to be movement on it.”
In response, the executive member, on behalf of the council, said: “I have noted that I will follow up with the director, on the issue of the public toilets and bring an update.
“You can be rest assured there will be answers to queries before the next meeting.”
