New Dog Grooming Studio planned for Killygordon
Donegal County Council has granted conditional planning permission for the development of a dog grooming studio outside of Killygordon.
The planned location for the studio, a detached modular structure, is in Ballynacor, southwest of Killygordon.
In a support letter submitted as part of the application, it was said that the applicant was “currently a trained dog groomer and has built up a small clientele locally where there is a genuine demand for her services.”

The dog grooming studio business, said the letter, “includes washing, grooming, and drying dogs only” with “no other services being provided, such as kennels.”
Furthermore, all appointments would be “pre-arranged appointments.”
Donegal County Council granted the planning permission application with 17 conditions, including conditions to preserve the amenities of the area, and in the interests of orderly development and public health.
