New Letterkenny defibrillator available following dramatic Specsavers incident

A new defibrillator has been installed in Letterkenny, ensuring the local community has immediate access to life-saving treatment.

Local Care Agency, Kare Plus Donegal gave sponsorship for the defibrillator, which is available outside of Specsavers in Letterkenny, and can be accessed 24 hours a day, ensuring the community has immediate access to life-saving equipment whenever it’s needed.

The location of the defibrillator is significant, due to a life-saving act by Specsavers staff, where their quick thinking saved a man’s life using a defibrillator. 

Motivated by this experience, the staff wanted to ensure a defibrillator would be permanently installed on site to protect the local community.
