Donegal County Fleadh Cheoil will be held in Ballyshannon
The Donegal County Fleadh Cheoil will be hosted in Ballyshannon in 2026.
Hosted by the Phil Rooney Branch of Comhaltas, the event will be held from May 8 to May 10, and will feature competitions, a session trail and marching bands.
Competitors will hope to be able to earn a qualification spot to the 2026 Ulster Fleadh Cheoil, before again qualifying for the 2026 Fleadh Cheoil na h’Éireann, which will be held in Belfast.

The Fleadh will showcase local talent and draw visitors from across Donegal.
Host Comhaltas, Phil Rooney Branch CCE serves several towns across south Donegal and past the county borders, including Ballyshannon, Bundoran, Kinlough, and Tullaghan.
Ballyshannon will be a town used to hosting large musical events, annually holding the Rory Gallagher International Festival, and the town was the host of the 1989 Ulster Fleadh Cheoil.
