Calls for Minister ‘Boxer’ Moran to visit Donegal regarding courthouse issues

Minister Kevin 'Boxer' Moran should be invited to Donegal regarding issues like Donegal Courthouse said councillor

A member of Donegal County Council called on Minister Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran to visit Donegal to deal with issues such as the temporary closure of Donegal Town courthouse and coastal erosion in Inver.

Cllr Jimmy Brogan was speaking at December’s Donegal Municipal District meeting when he said the council should invite the Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran, to Donegal to consider local issues.

An Independent, Cllr Brogan said: “We had Jim O’Callaghan in Donegal Town last week, and he actually went to the courthouse with his Fianna Fáil comrades.”

“We should invite Minister ‘Boxer’ Moran to come to Donegal and ask him to look at these issues. I know that some people have asked him to come down, and so far, he has not.

“I think Donegal County Council should ask him to come down to look at Inver, with the coastal erosion, and also other places.

“Also,  with the courthouse, Jim O’Callaghan said he was waiting on money from the Office of Public Expenditure (OPW), so we have a strange situation of one minister waiting for another minister.”
