Rosapenna's St Patrick's Links
An American Golf magazine has ranked four Donegal golf courses in its top 50 ratings for modern golf courses in Ireland and Great Britain for 2026.
The list was compiled by Golfweek and includes courses in Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, and Wales that were built in or after 1960.
Courses in Donegal that were included are Rosapenna’s St. Patrick’s Links, which opened in 2021 and was placed tied-fifth in the list, as well as Rosapenna’s Sandy Hills course, built in 2003, and placed 21st.

Cruit Island was listed 26th, and Donegal Golf Club in Murvagh placed 34th.
The courses listed above Rosapenna’s St Patrick’s Links, are all located in Scotland. The top of the ratings for the best modern golf course in Ireland and Great Britain was Kingsbarns, followed by Trump International Golf Links Scotland in Balmedie, Ardfin in the Isle of Jura, and Loch Lomond.
