More progress urged for Glencolmcille Fire Station plans at Donegal MD

Fire station hopes in Glencolmcille discussed at Donegal MD meeting

Cllr Jimmy Brogan urged for more progress to be made on a proposed Glencolmcille Fire Station during March’s Donegal Municipal District Meeting. 

The Independent Councillor said: “We don’t seem to hear anything about the Glencolmcille Fire Station. Obviously, plans are being put forward.

“We are always hearing about ‘shovel-ready’ jobs, and if we are to get any money, it needs to be ‘shovel-ready.’ I would like to see more progress on it, and not leave it there sitting in the background. 

“We have to make sure that the Bundoran/Ballyshannon Fire Station is moving on; we have to make sure it is moving on in Glencolmcille as well.”
