ATU Letterkenny granted planning permission for new nursing classrooms

Atlantic Technological University's Letterkenny Campus

The Atlantic Technological University (ATU) has successfully obtained planning permission from Donegal County Council for the construction of two new classrooms at its Letterkenny campus for its nursing block. 

Proposals were submitted for two extensions to the existing main campus building, which would be built on existing terraces.

Donegal County Council granted approval for the planning permission application, with three conditions, which were imposed to prevent flooding, and to cater for orderly development and in the interests of public safety.

The Letterkenny Campus of ATU is a higher education institution and includes 18,000 sq metres of educational and support accommodation with specialised teaching and research facilities, while also housing a library, dining areas, meeting rooms, and the state-of-the-art sporting facilities. The nursing block considered in this proposal was constructed in the early 2000s.
