The event brought together staff from across the organisation to mark the milestone and reflect on the journey of the community-owned business.

Founded in 1906 in Cleendra, West Donegal, by Paddy 'the Cope' Gallagher, the enterprise began as a small co-operative serving the local community. Over the past 120 years the Cope has grown and evolved into a diverse business offering everything from groceries, clothing and sports goods to homeware, hardware, technology and Builders Providers.

While the celebration was for staff, the Cope also acknowledged the support of past employees, suppliers and the wider community, whose loyalty has helped shape the organisation over the decades. Today the Cope continues to serve North West Donegal and customers nationwide through thecope.ie.
