“This is a very encouraging and exciting time for Donegal Town and with the two announcements made last week, of the 500 jobs at Abbott Diabetes Care, and McCann Group Development looking to invest over €10m along with the creation of nearly 400 jobs. The communities and the business communities of this area are delighted to see investment and developments coming to the area at this time. Work has also commenced on Tommy Gallaghers site and we look forward to the 13th August next when work is scheduled to start on The Tir Chonaill Bridge.

"It's also great to hear that local businesses in Donegal Town are enjoying a busy tourist season all of which is very encouraging and a testament to the hard work that they have put in over the years,” he said.
