Public march to save St Joseph's Hospital to take place this Saturday

St Joseph's Community Hospital, Stranorlar

A public march to save St Joseph's Hospital in Stranorlar will take place at 1.30pm on Saturday, March 23.

The march will begin at the community hospital and continue towards Jackson's Hotel where a public meeting will take place at 2.30pm.

Father John Joe Duffy, who is the Chairperson of the Save our Hospitals campaign has urged as many people as possible to take to the streets this Saturday.

Huge numbers of people came out to march three years ago in efforts to secure the future for the facility.

Father John Joe Duffy said: "We demand that our hospital, its residential unit, is maintained and investment made to bring it to standard that will future proof it for generations to come. We want care for our loved ones within the community and nothing is going to stop us this time."
