Leaving and Junior Cert underway as over 130,000 students expected to sit exams
Thousands of Donegal students are sitting down to begin their State exams this morning.
Around 2,100 students are doing the Leaving Certificate, with a further 99 doing Leaving Cert Applied exams. Approximately 2,382 students are sitting the Junior Certificate across the county.
Exams begin with English papers at both levels.
This year marks the full return of externally delivered examinations for all candidates. A record number of candidates are due to sit examinations this year with the number of candidates exceeding 130,000.
We want to wish all students taking the Leaving and Junior Cert exams the best of luck tomorrow.
