Day two of the Leopardstown Christmas Festival is due to get underway at 12.05pm with the final race of the day scheduled at 3.35 pm.
Following 25mm of rain overnight, Leopardstown is reported to be soft to heavy on the hurdle/bumper tracks and soft on the chase course ahead of day two of the Christmas Festival.
Thousands of punters attended the first day of the festival on St Stephen's Day, with almost 17,000 turning out in festive spirits for the opening day.
Today, Wednesday, sees the race course back in action again with 51 horses bidding to eliminate last year's winner Real Steel, with a massive €200,000 pot on offer for the Paddy Power Chase.
13:10 Leopardstown - Paddy's Rewards Club Chase (Grade 1)
With Captain Guinness and Dinoblue hot favourites in this race, Willie Mullins' Gentleman De Mee with Paul Townend on board looks good value at 6/1. He won his last race at Punchestown, and also won at Leopardstown last February where he impressively beat out Blue Lord.
13:45 Leopardstown - Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle (Grade 1)
The Willie Mullins-trained Daddy Long Legs leads the pack as favourite coming into the race, however, with Ireland's top amateur jockey Derek O'Connor combining with the in-form Gordon Elliott, Down Memory Lane looks promising at 7/2 given that he's unbeaten with three wins from three runs.
15:00 Leopardstown - Paddy Power Chase
With a stacked card of favourites amongst the 27 runners in the Paddy Power Chase, discerning punters looking for value should look no further than an each-way flutter on the Noel-Meade trained Idas Boy at 30/1. He won on his only other outing so far this season, and today's distance should suit him.
