Luke McAteer
Luke McAteer picked up an early winner in Dundalk on Friday evening.
The Rathmullan jockey was on board 10/3 shot Midnight Dusk in the opening race for trainer Jack Foley.
In the six furlong race, McAteer and Midnight Dusk came flying home in the final furlong to beat the favourite This Guy by a length and a quarter, and an impressive five lengths clear of the rest of the field.
McAteer had six rides at the Louth racetrack, also picking up a second place for trainer Michael O’Callaghan on 14/1 shot Lady Plimsoil, while Patrick McGettigan was also in action with four rides, but failed to place.
