The Mass will be held at All Saints Church, Newtowncunningham tomorrow at 3pm. It will be followed by a family fun event in the Columban Hall with youth club activities, games for all ages and light refreshments. Parish leaders will also be available to talk about future youth ministry initiatives.
All are welcome to attend the Mass, which can also be watched live on Church Services Newtowncunningham.
Blessed Carlo Acutis will be canonised along with Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati. The canonisation will be livestreamed tomorrow from the official Vatican News livestream at 9:45am Irish time.
According to Raphoe Diocese, Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) is known as “God’s Influencer” as he used his computer skills to create a website cataloguing Eucharistic miracles. With a simple, radiant faith, the London-born Italian teenager showed how holiness can be lived in everyday modern life.
Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901-1925) was a lay Dominican from Turin, called the “Man of the Beatitudes.” He lived with infectious joy, a passion for the outdoors, and a deep love for the poor and for Christ.
