Delighted staff celebrating another landmark for Inishowen Credit Union, which continues to go from strength to strength.
Inishowen Credit Union has invested more than €40 million to support local families and businesses across the peninsula.
The local financial institution says it’s delighted to have reached a “remarkable milestone”, with its loan book surpassing the €40 million mark in loans to members by the end of its financial year.
A spokesperson for Inishowen Credit Union has issued a “heartfelt thank you to our staff, volunteers, and most importantly our members”.
They added: “Together, you’ve helped us build a strong and sustainable credit union that exists for the benefit of our community. Your support makes all the difference!”

The Inishowen Credit Union has approximately 26,000 members across the peninsula, providing key financial support and low-cost loans to individuals and businesses.
There are three branches, including Buncrana, Carndonagh and Moville, with ICU having merged with the former Foyle Credit Union in Moville in 2021.
All its offices are open to the public five days a week, from Tuesday through Saturday.
