Coláiste Eoghain welcomed prospective students and their families to a well-attended information evening on Thursday, November 13, showcasing the school’s Irish-medium education and supportive community.
Deputy Principal Dáire Ó Néill highlighted the school’s excellent Leaving Certificate results, strong pastoral care systems, and the bonus points awarded for studying through Irish.
He also emphasised the outstanding teacher-to-pupil ratio and the wide variety of subjects on offer.
Stephen Doherty, of Glór Inishowen, spoke about the local Irish language resources and cultural initiatives, while James Gill, Chairperson of the Board of Management, praised the dedication of staff and the wider school community, urging parents to consider the unique advantages of Coláiste Eoghain.

Students shared their experiences, highlighting the supportive atmosphere and the benefits of learning through Irish. They also led tours of the school and classrooms, giving prospective pupils the chance to participate in a range of activities.
The evening concluded with families meeting staff, exploring the school’s facilities, and asking questions about enrolment. Coláiste Eoghain expressed its gratitude for the strong turnout and looks forward to welcoming new students in the coming year.
