An evening of making St Brigid’s crosses is taking place in Burt at the weekend.
Organisers say the event, which is taking place at Burt GAA clubhouse on Friday, January 30 at 7pm, is to “keep up the lovely tradition of making St Brigid 's crosses”.

“If you can, bring some rushes, string, tape, elastic bands and scissors too,” organisers said.
“A cup of tea will be on hand and a tune or two. Thanks to the Burt club and to its members who make this possible. Everyone welcome.”
