The N13 main Letterkenny-Derry road has reopened following a closure on Sunday afternoon.

A two-vehicle collision near Burt chapel around 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon led to the road being closed, and traffic management being put in place.

No serious injuries have been reported, although the driver of one of the vehicles is understood to have sustained a broken arm.

The Ambulance Service, Fire Service and gardaí all attended the scene of the collision, near the junction of the R239 'Slab Road' and the N13 between St Aengus Church and An Grianán Hotel.

Staff from Donegal County Council were on hand to put traffic management in place and clean up after the emergency services had treated the injured and concluded their work.
