Graves at St Mary’s Church, Clonmany are included in the project Photo: Clonmany Genealogy & Heritage Group
The organisers of the Clonmany Graves Index wish to extend their sincere thanks to all those who attended the recent open night, as well as to everyone who made contact online.
The organisers said the feedback and information provided have been invaluable.
As a result of this input, the Irish Graveyard Surveyors will publish amended survey maps on their website.
Members of the public are encouraged to review the revised maps online to confirm whether previously raised issues have been resolved.
Any outstanding matters can be addressed by completing an Alteration Sheet and forwarding it to the surveyors at the address provided on the form.

Individuals who have identified that photographs of their relatives’ headstones are off-centre or difficult to read may submit a replacement photograph, along with the relevant grave
details, to the surveyors. These images will then be substituted.
Enquiries have also been received regarding burial plots that do not currently appear on the survey maps.
In such cases, an alteration sheet should be submitted identifying the location of the plot, in relation to nearby graves. A supporting photograph may be included.
To allow sufficient time for the public to examine the amended maps online, the deadline for the submission of amendments has been extended to midnight on Sunday, March 1.
