Buncrana’s Children’s Charity to host Family Fun Day in Burnfoot tomorrow.
Families across Inishowen are being invited to enjoy an afternoon of games, music, and entertainment at a Family Fun Day hosted by Buncrana’s Children’s Charity. The free event will take place this coming Saturday, 14th March, from 1pm to 3pm at The Halfway House, Burnfoot.
The day promises a lively mix of activities for children of all ages, including a bouncy castle, a disco, games, and a raffle, creating a welcoming environment for the whole community.
The event is being organised by the charity’s Executive Committee, with significant support from its Youth Committee, who have been instrumental in planning and running the day’s activities.
Health and Wellbeing Officer Tanya McLaughlin said the Family Fun Day is about providing a positive space for families to come together.
“This Family Fun Day is all about creating a space where children and families can come together, enjoy themselves, and take part in fun activities in a safe and welcoming environment,” said Ms McLaughlin.
“Community events like this are so important for children’s wellbeing. They give families the opportunity to spend quality time together, meet others in the community, and simply enjoy being part of something positive.”
Youth Committee Coordinator Caitlin Crossan highlighted the important role young volunteers are playing in supporting the charity.
“Our Youth Committee is delighted to be helping the Executive Committee organise this Family Fun Day. It’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to get involved in community volunteering while helping create a fun event for local children,” added Caitlin.
“The Youth Committee members have been working hard behind the scenes and are really looking forward to seeing families come along and enjoy the day.”
